POSITION SUMMARY:
Taylor Duma LLP is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to support our Intellectual Property Litigation team. This role offers the opportunity to work with internationally recognized IP Litigation Partners on complex and high-profile matters involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets across a wide range of industries and in all major courts across the country. While prior IP experience is a plus, it is not required. What is essential is a strong foundation in federal court litigation, including electronic document management, filings, and trial support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, from pre-filing through trial and appeal, with a focus on intellectual property matters.
Manage document discovery processes, including collection, review, and production using e-discovery tools.
Draft litigation documents, including basic pleadings, discovery responses, privilege logs, and deposition summaries.
Coordinate expert witnesses and manage related timelines and materials.
Electronically file documents in federal courts and before administrative agencies such as the PTAB and ITC.
Support trial preparation and logistics.
Conduct factual and legal research using public and proprietary databases.
Maintain case files, calendars, and deadlines to ensure all tasks are completed timely and accurately.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
3–5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a strong background in federal court procedures.
Prior intellectual property litigation experience is helpful but not required.
Proficiency with e-discovery platforms (e.g., Relativity, DISCO) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
