POSITION OVERVIEW
The Conflicts Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with ethical standards by performing company research on all new and existing clients and lateral attorney employment candidates. This staff position, based in our Atlanta office with a hybrid work arrangement, offers the opportunity to contribute to the firm’s operations and collaborate with legal and administrative teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs company research on all new and existing clients and all lateral attorney employment candidates
Conducts conflicts checks for attorneys and experienced hires
Executes searches in the Firm’s conflicts database
Analyzes and interprets database search results to identify potential conflicts
Generates accurate and timely conflicts reports for review by attorneys and management
Handles all new client matter setups in the firm’s systems
Collaborates with attorneys and administrative staff to resolve conflicts issues
Maintains up-to-date records and documentation related to conflicts checks
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of rules governing conflicts of interest in a legal setting
Ability to handle multiple requests and projects with competing deadlines
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Strong research, problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
Flexibility in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
3 or more years of experience in a conflicts specialist or analyst role, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment
Proficiency with conflicts databases and research tools
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Strong research, problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
Ability to handle multiple requests and projects efficiently
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Flexibility in managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing needs
3 or more years of experience in a conflicts specialist or analyst role
Familiarity with legal research platforms and conflicts management software
